I thought I knew the old town of Sitka pretty well, when I discovered this small and very old apartment building on a little traveled side street. I debated sketching it when a small dog, sniffing around, came up the sidewalk, which livened the scene somewhat. Next, two tenants, arms about each other stepped outside. Now I had a painting possibility! I especially admired the man’s cowboy boots and his sweeping sideburns. Rie Munoz
